Greetings,
Would anyone happen to know what size & type (machine or sheet metal) of screws hold the sun visors in and also the rear view mirror?
When I bought my car, it had no sun visors and they also boogered up the rear view mirror with some crap screws and I cannot see what the threads...
THIS was my "surprise" when replacing the windshield! No rust on my cowl but as everyone else mentioned what LURKS hidden underneath. LUCKILY my "go to" guy was able to hand fabricate new metal so the glass would sit in and seal otherwise a regular glass shop usually cannot do fab work. Boy...
ALSO....check the floor pans! Only (2) people supply them. Joe Suchy & Kramer Automotive. I had to get on a damn waiting list and the front floor pan cost me around $1,100 with shipping. The rears were not available but might be by now.
1973-74 R.R. door & rear hood trim set. the left (drivers) side is NOS in the wrapper and the other two are in great condition. Some of the rear sliding attaching clips are missing but you probably can get them from R/T SPECIALTIES. (The dog sniffed out the NOS piece.) $320.00/OBO +...
Hey Man, That photo tutorial is fantastic! I never knew about this "taking up new residence" on here. Looks like your car was made around 40 days earlier than mine looking at your door panel stamp. BTW, do you have any info on how to replace the vent window wing seals? Can it be done without...
I just saw KHRYSLERKID'S link post of some great pics. I guess I gotta look behind that fiber board to see what's behind there to fasten the triangular mount to. I was "assuming" it was the fiber board then the metal roof.
Thanks!
I should have explained more in depth. The original wooden headliner in my 62 shows no previous triangular mounting holes so, that's why I asked. It had no visors when I bought it. The 3rd pic shows the Classic Industries visors with no mounting accessories as opposed to my 70 Challenger visors...
Hello,
I just ordered a set of visors from Classic Industries along with the "plastic sun visor tips". Once inserted into the visor and the other end snapped into the rear view mirror housing, is that the ONLY thing holding these visors in place? I tried to find pics but nope.
Thanks. :poke:
Greetings,
anyone have a video tutorial OR instructions on how to replace the vent window seals on a 1962 Polara 500? I am using METRO #ALP 27-A wing vent seals and "visually" it doesn't "look" right. I'm going to call METRO tomorrow but I wanted to "reach out" to my knowledgeable "B" Body...
You need to get these! Amazon has "single" clamps also. Just find your O.D. pipe diameter and wrap one of these around your pipe(s) I put these on my complete new exhaust system instead of the crappy "U" clamps .
I "see" what you mean about the heaviness of the weight distribution with the Sebring seat. I must say that your existing interior and passenger seat is just beautiful. Here is what I have in the car now when I bought it 20 years ago. No one knows what car they came out of. Definitely not a...
Greetings, everyone
I want to replace my throttle cable but pictures of the "new" replacement cables are not matching up to what I currently have. The '62 MoPar Bible Book shows #2268 349 for the cable part number along with the illustrations showing the cable having a clevis on both ends of...
