I put in a Powermaster high torque starter. The more I think about it the more I suspect the battery. I’ll try a bit of fuel down the carburetor also.

With the car in Park. Use a screwdriver to jump the relay between the main power wire and the wire the goes down to the start. This would reduce it to battery, stater and the cables to the starter as well as the ground wire from battery to engine

AutoZone has a black shock i can’t remember the brand but it’s not a dura last name but is probably better than the KYB’s because at least those come with the lifetime warranty. I put these on my Plymouth and so far so good no issues and car rides pretty decent. I had the KYB on my challenger...

Kyb on my fury with bigger than OEM t bars, not harsh to me. I have Bilsteins for my charger but haven't got them on yet. REALLY looking forward to getting the Monroe Mush gone off that car.
