If you can get the bolts in the heads with the paper gaskets, then use them for extra seal. If the heads have been surfaced then there probably wont be enough room for both sides to have the gasket. Like Billccm said, maybe your engine will seal better with only one gasket and some good sealer...
Just a reminder to everyone that hasn't taken there car out in a while.
I hadn't taken my RT out for a ride in a couple of months, and I went for a cruise around town this morning and wow!
Started right up and runs smooth. I stopped at the gas station for 10 gallons of super and got one...
All of these old cars are toys. We all probably had a toy police car. I say it has more value than a non police car small block coronet. The car is what it is, restore it for what it is, and enjoy it.
Just because that is what they are asking, doesn't mean that is what they are selling them for... Offer them what you think it is worth. I doubt that anybody is going to buy that car for 75K.
Figure that it is worth around 40K if it was in good shape, make your deductions from there. Offer them...
Thank you @Builderguy! That car could be finished out nicely by somebody... for the right price. I like the gauges on the hood. Makes for less holes in the firewall! Maybe that is the difference of a facebook sale and a FBBO sale.
Thanks, I will pass for now. I have a facebook that I have not opened in about 7 years. Its the principle now!! haha I wont do it, just to look at a car. If I want to see it that bad, I will have one of my kids show it to me.
Imagine Richard Petty cruising around Daytona, at 200 mph, with the cruise control on and the radio blaring...
I always think of Richard Petty when I think of Superbirds.
Go for it, just don't cut it up.
