The Elephant In The Room: unloading the load from a B-body.

JR. Nice to meet over the airwaves. Hopefully I can get out there again before the hot season settles in. From what I've heard, Calverton is a limited registry run race. I wouldn't mind 1/8 tracks, but my car really starts to put on the steam upstairs because of the gearing and such. I've also...

Steve has an arsenal of stuff. Glad people like him have saved these relic parts from extinction.

Where did you see the stainless K member? The Titanium K member was in your state?

Steve Magnante has been MIA, here is why. **UPDATE** He's back!

Man, I sure hope all goes in his favor as far as health first and wealth second. He's a hands on first class kind of guy. Known him for a decade and a half or so now. He wrote an excellent feature on my car a few years back. Very well informed and never a snob about it. I am sure that a Ford guy...

Not for nothing, everyones input on here has been more than inspirational. Amongst the many that have contributed - Cranky, Gooser and others, there are some unique players here that are moving the needle in the right direction such as Malex and Stage 3. I'd like to see what becomes of...

The Elephant In The Room: unloading the load from a B-body.

Ok then, I'm going to breakout some ideas on how I lightened my minibike. LOL. All kidding' aside, an all aluminum Keith Black block would probably be my biggest weight cut, but I'd rather get a very rare 10/15 AFX stainless K member or a 2% aluminum dashboard instead. A solid, non porous thick...

Those two iconic tracks closed and now your old county is dealing with a surge in street racing, the likes not seen in a long time. Long Island and south Brooklyn could easily fill in the void of such a racing facility and make $$$ while they're at it.

I used to be able to drive out to E-town and Atco and back home, but Maple and the Valley are a little too far for my nerves. Though I did drive out to Island one time and ran roundy rounds against my Boyz 86' Malibu and drove home thereafter. Young and stupid I guess.

I kind of ran out of time and things to do when I relaxed my intros onto the thread. There's been more left on the table than some would think, but a few factors come into play such as availability of parts and good craftsmanship/welding, time and sometimes $$ along with testing and tuning. I...

Heard through the grape vine from another Mopar site that ThumperDart got his '70 Dart down to 2870 lbs WITH HIM IN THE SEAT. You A-body guys have it easy. LOL. I'm still lingering in the high 2900 Lbs WITHOUT MY SKINNY SELF IN THE SEAT. I guess I can't complain though being that I'm wearing an...

    Battery issue in a 2013 1500 Ram

Here are the results of being stupid, preoccupied or in and hurry or ALL OF THE ABOVE COMBINED. When I jumped the truck with cables in the old school way, I went in to start the car and noticed an intermittent clicking noise.................................................................. I had...

    Battery issue in a 2013 1500 Ram

Fantastic guys. Thank you. I guess removing the positive and negative wires won't make the truck lose its memory correct? I say this because I have no problem either cleaning the terminals or installing a brand new battery, but these new vehicles with their inherrent finicky issues spook me to...

    Battery issue in a 2013 1500 Ram

2013 1500 Hemi Ram. Battery is stone cold dead. Very dim under hood light. The key pod won't even open/lock the doors electronically. No ignition/cranking whatsoever. Can someone tell me if I can rig up old school battery jumper cables onto this 2013 1500 Ram and jump start it without any...

I have copper clad aluminum positive cable from the bulk head junction box at the firewall all the way back to the battery in the trunk. No service problems whatsoever for the last 5 or so years. I'm not in front of my numbers book, but it was about 7 Lbs lighter than the copper cable. The...

    Low compression 505

That cam which is very similar to mine except it is a solid roller will work spectacular with 12.1 and aluminum SR's. Mine is 271-276 @50 640 lift, but it is a solid stick in a smaller combo. Very street mannered with good fuel.
