Probably nothing special about the engine internally. Just an LP carb conversion. It was a genset so it probably is very low houred, clean inside because of the LP and it only ran 1800 RPM. Good engine to have.
Is the intake a single plane? From most of the pics I've seen they are showing a SB Chevy.

I'd go with the Mancini kit that uses the Firecore distributor. These distributors are easy to adjust the mechanical advance if needed. The others might not have the ability to adjust without major work. I've been running a Firecore for 3 years now...
I have an old MP .284/.484 cam in my 440. Anybody know the LSA on the old cam? I know that MP revised the cam with a different LSA. Looking for old cam specs.

Here is the header that I took off my car. Everywhere the wrap was the tube was shot, crumbled like egg shells. Rest of the header was fine. Granted they were probably 20 years old. If they weren't wrapped they'd still be on the car.
New headers have been on for about 8 years without wrap...
