    Thrust block

You don't. The SG uses a set of thrust "buttons" held together with a split pin. Look for a "blow up" of a SG and you will understand what I am describing. Mike

    How did I do

Looks like "rat rod" material. A huge investment of cash and time to restore. My 2 cents. Mike

My wagon turned a 12.68 in the 1/4 with a .030 over 440 with the 509. I was using 346 heads (with 2 cracked valve seats) and my 6 pack, along with Dougs 2" headers and 10:1 CR. 4.30 gears w/ loose converter. Mike

Hydraulic cam comparable to the 292-509 purple shaft.

318 Poly Headers - Worth it?

I don't remember where I found him but, a fella modifies stockers to get the correct shape to mirror the left side. In fact he screwed up the first manifold he sent me and had to build another as the outlet clocking aimed into the block. I think it was from this site. Mike

Flowmaster American Thunder Super 40 vs. Pypes Street pro exhaust

I have no comparative analysis to offer, Just wanted to say that 2 1/2" pipe is too large for a mild 318. 2" would be a better match (dual). Too large a pipe slows the exhaust velocity and results in a power loss. Mike
