Installed the CrackedBack headlightrelaykit. Never really drove it at night so no idea how much better it is, it was more a preventative thing. Also I couldn't get my motion detector driveway light to turn off for a pic.
At some point I'll use the torsion headlight adjusters to aim them lower
Why?? If you are NOT adding any additional accessories, you DO NOT need to change anything. The old expression "IF IT'S NOT BROKEN, IT DOESN’T NEED FIXING" applies, in spite of what "others" think, do,or say. The original ammeter circuit will work just fine, the headlightkitrelay, does...
The headlightrelays I've installed were to make my headlights brighter. Not to fix any issues where my lights go out after 10min. I'd fix the one issue and then get a headlightrelaykit.
Trying to get in touch with the guy selling the headlightrelaykit. I believe his screen name is Crackedback and lives in Southern California. Any help appreciated. His inbox is full.
Thanks!

Yep:
I have Rob's HeadlightRelayKit in my '67 GTX, awesome Headlights now.
Way to go Rob for giving us great quality parts.
If you need lighting or cables, Rob is the man !!
Basic idea of the headlightrelaykit is to provide a higher voltage to the OE incadescent lights for increased brightness.
For me, and my 70RR I upgraded to LED headlights which draw about 70% less current than incadescents..
Just my $0.02...
Yep, set up the headlightrelaykit per the instructions which had me come off the alternator stud. My “struggle” with the alternator is that people’s responses were all over the place (ie factory 45amp set up is enough, go with 75, 85, 95 amp, etc). So the 65 amp in my head was a happy medium lol.
Hey all. I recently installed a new engine bay and headlight harness in my '66 and several things started behaving better, including the headlight closing circuit. They shut perfectly the moment I connected the battery, which they did not used to do before. Unfortunately, they do not...
Or get the headlightrelaykit thu Crackedback and brighten the ones you already have.
Or buy new Halogen headlights and use them with the relaykit.
Here is what halogens look like with the relaykit.
I bought the low and high beams from Walmart.
...boxes. Replaced the entering wiring harness headlight to tail lights. Bunch of other things changed out and replaced. Had Doug’s headers X pipe and TTI exhaust. Replaced all the brake lines, added a headlightrelaykit. The wiring harness is what killed the car and had it parked in the garage.
No worries j-c-c-62.
Once my Runner is finished I can certainly take some photos like you mentioned.
The reason I went with a relaykit was that I had done the same thing on my wife's Mini and it made a world of difference.
On the Mini - the headlight electrical circuit is the same as Mopars -...
To the OP, I do have pictures of the actual relaykit - it's in the my projects thread.
Here's the link.

Near the bottom of the page you will see it along with were I installed it on the car (behind the drivers side headlight housing).
