If they are new emblems you can run the nut up the stud with the emblem in your hands just to establish the threads. That way you don't have to try and kill the nut to make new threads in an awkward position.

Look into ABC Moparts. I had my original pad recovered by them. I haven't installed it yet but the reason that I chose them to restore my pad was because of all of the positive feedback that I saw about them on the forums.
