When I purchased my 68 Charger a few years back it had the spare wheel/tire mounted in the trunk. I took it out and don't ever plan to put it back in. I am going to put it up for sale and wanted to get opinions on the value. Attached some pics for reference.
Wanted to provide an update in case it might help someone else looking for a compatible shroud for a cold case brand radiator. It's OER part #2998326 which is for a 1970-73 Dodge/Plymouth B&E bodys. It fits perfect. The hole diameter center to center is exactly what the pre-drilled holes are on...
I’ve read through forums and it looks like the torque spec for the crankshaft pulley bolts are between 15-25 (or snug with common sense). Seems like this should be something that is specified in the service manual but looking on page 9-103 it’s not shown. Am I missing something? I guess my...
So now I have the correct non ac water pump for the 69 and all of the correct pulleys, but now I am questioning my set up that is currently on the 68 ac car. I put a Flowkooler 1679 water pump on it last year in an attempt to to fix an overheating issue and it didn’t help much. I think I need to...
Got it. It’s definitely not original. The 68 was originally a 318 car. Should be pretty easy looking at the two water pump housings on the two cars to see if they are the same?
Ok, that’s a relief.
So going back to my question on the pulleys. I left the pulleys on the 68 when I put the vintage AC kit on it (the belts all lined up). So now I am wondering if I need to put the 4 groove crank and 5.25 inch water pump that I just took off the 69 on the 68? I am assuming...
Oh Jesus. So is the water pumps on the 383 and 440 interchangeable? I replaced my non ac water pump on my 68 with a new one when I put the ac on it. Wondering if I can use that one ☝️ n the 69. I’ll check the pump when I get home as it’s just sitting on a shelf in my shop
Alright so I found the correct two groove crankshaft pulley and single groove water pump pulley. Bought from a friend locally so that has worked out great. I did not realize how easy it would be to remove the crank pulley. Here is my question. So I also have a 68 that was a non ac car that I put...
I have a 69 charger factory AC car. Came with a 5.25x1.25” water pump pulley. I have Removed all of the factory AC components and will not be putting AC back on anytime soon. I am needing a 5.25x1.75” water pump pulley so that it will line up with my power steering pump pulley. I am having a...
