    First thing is lose the pistons and build a quench motor, I did and its a beast. 915 heads ported/polished, light weight JE/SRP pistons, Mopar .528 Mech Cam, 6 pack setup, perfect .040 quench with .020. steel shim gasket. 520 HP on pump gas with dyno headers.

    Grind the crack then use a low temp Nickel rod like Inconel. Worked good for me on block repairs.

    Im running the Mopar .528-284 and it has the same lash specs. I readjusted them to .018 and .022. Sounds much better and lumpier.

    Running a 440 six pack, 4 speed, dana in a 68 Charger. Car was originally a 383 2bbl car with stock torsion bars. When I get on the car it just feels very soft and sloppy.     Car was handled by a reputable shop. I looked it over it was not an amateur job. After all the body work was done car was completely primed .Needs to be blocked sanded and sealed. New quarters, trunk floor and front floor. Sorry no pictures right now.
