    Hello sorry i corrected my question it's a v2 i have the front bearing which is correct which is part# 1854829 but thank you for the rear number .is there any other numbers such a from 68 or 1970 compressors that are the same.Also is why the v2 compressor bearings are not listed in the parts book ?

    Thanks dadsbee you are correct to the part number at the rear, but i think it does matter front or rear because the torsion bar has been stressed in one direction for 50 years if you spin it around would it not now be stressed in the opposite direction ?

    I thought the same that the backing plates were black but on close inspection they had no sign of paint on them & also due to feed back from other members i came to the conclusion they were a raw metal finish hence the silver metallic paint i tried to mimic raw steel .
