Convertible Top Latch Hardware Pins & Springs

Wow, I've never looked at those pins. I think you'll have to make something if I understand correctly. Those little springs are not easy to find, but if you can definitely make some out of sprung wire if you have an example.

    Convertible Top 69 RR

Yeah, R/T is correct about there being a leak somewhere. I had one of my lift cylinders start to "weep" and my pump got really loud with the air bubbles. Look for a little oil spot under the lift cylinders....and along the lines, especially the fittings, while you're at it

That looks a lot like a car built by a guy on this forum

Process for Rebuilding the Back Half of a Roadrunner

Mine started worse....you can do it. I don't do my own frame work, but for my 2-cents, I think Demonic is exactly correct. I've not done this, only watched. You do have to deal with the rear frame rails first. If you are SURE you handle it (out of my league), then setting up a jig to hold...

    Help with shifter handle

Geez guys, I think it will fit as long as you get the bolt-on type pistol grip shifter. The 69/70 cars' interior is very similar. It's not like a 69 dash is 6" closer to the shifter hole or anything like that. The console shifters have an odd bend in them to clear the console. A bench seat...

    1970 A/G switch

Yep, 70gtx is correct. I added air grabber to my car years ago. I had a rough idea where the switch went from seeing a factory air grabber car at a car show. My stepdad (great mechanic) was helping me put the switch in and drill a hole for it in the dash panel. He stuck his finger back there...

    1970 A/G switch

Yep, just look at the template for the switch on the back of the dash panel...it's right there

    69 vert top glass replacement

I will answer your question, then tell you what you need to know, cool? 1. You can just unzip the zipper to let the back of the convertible "stay open" with no glass/plastic. There should be two 4" straps with snaps on them. You snap those onto the male half of the snaps on the top bow. Then...

How to tell if it is a true 69 Roadrunner

As these guys mention, RM27 is a roadrunner convertible. If the last part of the VIN number is stamped on the radiator core support, passenger side AND the forward/driver lip inside the trunk under the trunk seal match the VIN tag.....AND nothing looks like the numbers were welded in...

    1970 road runner question

For the wires, maybe get some "cut-to-fit" wires & use several straight boots and/or Direct Connection style multi-angle boots? Also maybe some "heat socks" on wires close to headers? Silicon core if you want to listen to your radio

70 Satellite driver door won’t lock. Help!

FYI - if you get into a pinch, you can make one of those rods out of a coat hanger or a similar rod from another car by bending it. I ran mine like that for years on one door....but the factory rod is MUCH easier

    Original Carb?

I think these guys above me know. I "thought" the 70 Roadrunner 383's with A/C got Holleys and were rated at 330hp instead of 335hp (or something like that?)

    1970 GTX Marker lense dimensions

I'm not positive about the actual lens size, but the '69 cars are different than the '70 cars & I "thought" '70 A & B were the same. If you get stuck, let me know and I will measure one of mine.

    1970 Roadrunner Speedometer Jumping Around

Most likely the new speedometer cable isn't greased. I would want to slip the cable out & spray it down with a graphite spray (I'm about to do this on mine). I do have to say that Darter6's idea about greasing the back of the speedometer with Vaseline sounds like a really, really good idea...

    B body rear end/third member question ?

Yes, it's a sure grip. Take another look at your kickdown linkage first.

    B body rear end/third member question ?

Hold on there a minute......like Jerry said, you have a TRANSMISSION problem, not a rear end gear problem. The transmission SHOULD shift on it's own up/down when in "drive", not just stay in drive/3rd gear. That is your only problem. The transmission kick-down linkage is what makes the...

    B body rear end/third member question ?

OK, I'm a little confused, so sorry if I start of with some stuff you probably already know. The torqueflites have no overdrive at all and have 3 gears. Your transmission isn't downshifting still (for some reason) down into 2nd gear, from Drive/3rd gear and it should do that going up a super...

    B body rear end/third member question ?

Well Pearljam, being a "flat lander" I COMPLETELY misunderstood your issue.....you're right...you need a higher number gear ratio for sure, no transmission problem, just gear. 3.91/4.10 the engine will zip up a hill, but be screaming up or down hill at 70mph. I think 2.76/2.94 and you're...
