I would agree with you, but a search on ebay showed all the 2290851 switches looks just like mine. My switch is stamped with 2290851. The book claims it is a variable speed switch. I'm confused. The switch is missing terminals for V-4 and V-5.
Another Mystery - I've included a pic of the...
I am trying to test a wiper switch for a 64 Valiant (2290851, variable speed). I compared the connectors on the switch vs the wiring diagram from 1964 Plymouth Valiant Service Manual page 8-103.
The wiring diagram shows more terminals than are on my switch. Take a look at the attached...
A high school buddy in early 70s installed a 63 Plymouth hood & fenders on his 64 Plymouth. He couldn't find 64 Plymouth parts. I prefer the ,look of the 64 front end.
I am repairing the wiring under the dash on my 64 Sport Fury. I have 2 different wiper switches; 2291688 & 2580174. Both switches are for single speed wipers, although the 1st has 3 terminals and the other has 4 terminals.
I would really like to upgrade to 3 speed wipers with intermittent...
Does anyone have a 1964 Plymouth owners manual? I am looking for a scanned copy of the operating instructions for the heater control panel and description of what each switch does. I would appreciate it.
thanks

Need a set of exhaust manifolds. The 383 is a stock HP model, with an A833. I'd like the car to sound good, but not wake up the neighbors. MPG is a concern for the Carb/Exhaust system.
383 1960-64 Right 2205535
383 1960-64 Left 2205536
I plan to use the Magnaflow 19304 exhaust down...
I've been cleaning up the spears (removed from car) and noticed they have a clear coat that is flaking off. Was the clear coat original? How can I remove it without scratching the aluminium? After polishing, should I coat it with lacquer or another product?
Also, who sales trim attachment...
Thanks for all the suggestions. I called Moroso and they recommended their 20766 Oil pan and 24766 pickup. Seems like the front is too deep to clear the K Member.
I need an oil pan and pickup for my 383 HP build. The original pan is pretty damaged. Looking at Milodon 31010, Mancini and others.
Any recommendations? I don't want to notch the K Member or have to pan hanging down below the K Member. Stock would be good, but finding one ...
I just bought a 1964 Sport Fury. Needs a lot of TLC, but I plan to run B.F Goodrich tires on it. Back in the day, I used air shocks on the rear to get a rear up posture. What's popular today?
BTW, if I run 15" tires, how large can I go on the rear and not have issues?
John
I'd be concerned about rust issues. Need a top to bottom inspection. Use a price guide to determine worth when restored, back off cost of restoration. Do the numbers work out? Restorations tend to cost more than your estimates.
