Nice. Break in is over rated. Just take it easy bit more. I remember when Keisler recommended a break in - in city driving - where I would be 80 yo when done. IF I lived that long. I like my SST too, and the clutch is what it always should have been.

    Carb Cheater

It's a nifty thing to control afr but does not create efficiency. If you're running rich it just creates a vacuum leak to bring the afr in check vs a actual adjustment to fuel delivery

Boy have I got a story to tell...

Oh yeah, One more thing... Had an annoying tick from when I first put the engine back in the car. Pulled valve covers when I went to race in Florida in March and didn't find anything. All header bolts were tight. Lying under the car over the weekend rewiring starter, I see carbon on front of the...

Anybody with a 440 running the Milodon Single line external pump kit? (21002)

Rear entry does not fit/work with 383/400/440 stock mounts. The rear entry was designed for the hemi. The side entry isn't the greatest but that's all that will work with a big block.

    1969 440 HP block

I don't know - they don't seem uncommon. With the odds so slim any of the items in this forum will be reunited with their original "stuff", you've probably got your builder. Once in a blue moon, there's a successful re-connection here - makes the trying all worthwhile to me.

Noise / rattling during cruise /idle with video

The best way to measure bearing clearance is: with OD micrometer, measure crank journal and rod bearing journal diameter. To measure main bearing clearance, use snap gauge for the ID of the journal with bearing cap installed with bearing insert installed, torqued to specs. The bearing...

What to expect from 1970 383 HP

Depends on head flow too; with the same heads, the 383 will wind up higher before reaching the flow limit, as compared to a 440. Once the head is maxed out, that's all the power you'll get, no matter how many cubes.

    Windshield installation 1966-70 B body

When I had the gasket installed with fresh glass from AMD on my 68 Satellite, the shop that did it said they sometimes use a hair dryer heat gun at the final 2 corners to assist final fit. Anyone else use this in addition to the lubricant (linseed oil, detergent)? They also mentioned that some...

    Windshield installation 1966-70 B body

He used something like a mustard bottle similar to this: He just squirted it in and set the glass in the bottom. He went from the bottom UP like I have done.
