Carter AVS Part 2 on the car tuning

Martin, that quick advance curve is not what I expected you to find in the distributor but you never know what a previous owner has done. Like Halifaxhops said, it would be a good idea to slow it down a little some day but if it’s running good right now there’s no hurry. A bouncy timing can be...

Chargers for sale by crack addicts

If you wanted to build a Charger with an aftermarket chassis this might actually be worth the price. Figure out what it would cost to buy a rusty Charger carcus and your labor to cut it all apart, you would be ahead of the game to buy this and start mounting it on the new chassis, or use it for...

Well as Gilda used to say, Oh, that’s different. Never mind. Drum all the way around no power. (Yeah, Dr. Diff is where I got it)

What car do you drive and what do you pay per month?

When I was younger, my limit was 225 a month, for 3 years, I'd buy in that bracket only and it was called a tight budget. The days of everyone who works at a dealerships making big bank are over. Those people are out of their minds if they pay 1500 a month and I don't care how much you make in...

thanks QBB.. did it have that feeling like it just didn't want to go? not low power but more like it was fighting to move? My trans is fresh and everything in the car is new.. so i dont' think anything got into the TC.. just bad luck on a new one.

40 years out of storage '68 Charger

The car might not be perfect but it is a Charger that can be driven and not worry about every little stone chip. It is a lot more fun than a trailer queen.

What car do you drive and what do you pay per month?

My 2006 Silverado payments were below $400/mo but it's long been paid off. That was the last new vehicle I bought. It is crazy hearing how much those people are paying monthly now, I don't know how they do it. Also 25% of cars on the road today are leased which is even crazier.

    possible bad converter?

I had a similar condition many years ago with a convertor that was to tight in my '64. You could floor it from a dead stop and it would almost shut-off the car. Difference is I had already had the motor dialed in but broke my good trans and it sent **** through the convertor. So this was a trans...

    Mallory distributor

They are hard to get parts for. If you just want it to be unique go for it. Much better options out there.

Carter AVS Part 2 on the car tuning

Thats a mopar performance dist that came with the kit. Seriously fast advance usually all in by 15oo rpm. I had springs made to slow it down for the street if needed.
