Nobody has said this but I have had the converter bolts rub the flex plate cover and make a similar noise, pull the flex plate cover off and start it, 4 1/4 inch bolts, its also happened to me more then once
So after getting my transmission shifting now after discovering the governor was missing the internal components I thought i would research a little about the accumulator, so I have read mixed reviews, right now my accumulator has no blocker rod and no springs, after reading the instructions...

Update, back on the road, governor was missing internals and sealing rings, also I am now wanting to sale this reverse valve body if anybody is interested, thanks so much for everybody's help
Ok, all back together, the governor was missing the governer rings also. I took the old governor out of my old tranny and swapped the whole thing over, I cleaned it all up and put it on, got her topped back off with tranny fluid and she is going in all gears and hopefully shifts now, fingers...
Ok, I think I got it, the governor sealing rings are located just in front of the park gear, so after I remove the snap ring the governor and park gear will slide forward and then I will see the governor sealing rings, am i able to take the governor assembly off of my old Trans and swap over to...
Update, found the problem i hope, governor internals are missing, I am hoping to use the governor internals from my old transmission, what all is involved with this now, how do I go about putting internals in the governor
Ok got my valve body and everything back in, got a gauge on the governor port, all i can get no matter what rpm or speed is 10 psi, will not go no higher then that
