So after getting my transmission shifting now after discovering the governor was missing the internal components I thought i would research a little about the accumulator, so I have read mixed reviews, right now my accumulator has no blocker rod and no springs, after reading the instructions that came with the valve body I think I did it right where is says hd and street, for competition it says install blocker rod, step 10 says to remove spring behind accumulator and discard it, also I never plugged the direct clutch oil passage in front of case so what exactly does that do thanks guys

Usually there is a restrictor plug to be installed in the front clutch feed passage. Doesn't your plug have a hole in it?

Missing governor guts means your transmission had a manual valve body in it at some time. When I built transmissions for street use, I never used a blocker rod, and usually left the accumulator spring out.

I removed the restrictor plug. My transmission shifts fine without it, but it uses the steel front drum sealing rings, not the teflon sealing rings, so it might have more leakage?
That bottom package with the small snap ring looks like it might be for the rear servo where shift kits place a thick spacer/shim to make it act like it is solid.
Accumulator rod should make shift harder? Front servo type and springs, band lever ratio, number of drum springs, and the restrictor plug changes third gear shift timing.
