1970 Dodge Challenger
Seeing as how it initially listed at 80k but is down to 68 and still available I think they're expecting too much. I see some rust on the quarters, which means there's probably rust somewhere else as well. I've been looking for a vintage mopar mainly a 71-72 Roadrunner...
The car in the OP is absolutely drop-dead gorgeous and all the more stunningly beautiful without the optional front bumperettes. The bumperettes are a personal opinion kind of thing you know. :)
I like everything about the dash VIN plate on this Charger. I've been critical of other dash VIN...
That makes two of us. I ask because I'm building a 1:25th scale model of one right now & I want to build it pretty much as it would have come from the factory. Maybe I'll just leave them off.
Having been a dealer tech & then a Factory rep our field procedure was to fill the reservoir, disable the ignition, crank the engine for about 10 seconds, refill the reservoir, crank again, refill... Fire it up & run the steering lock to lock... final recheck the reservoir... 99.9% that is all...
There are a series of videos on Youtube posted from that channel, presumably it's from the channel owner's security camera.
If so it would be fun for him to sit out on the front porch on nice evenings sipping a beer and watching the cars hit the speedbumps.
I believe it was stated in one of the...
The guy on the right has just been told an amazing story of a chimpanzee riding in a sidecar driven by a crazed wild boar wearing full armour and carrying rocket-launchers strapped to his back. The Chimp had been air-brushing a logo on the sidecar at the time.
So there I was..... he's...
I believe the x is probably better for power. The question is, how much? I believe it's not enough increase over a simple H (or no crossover at all!) to justify the expense and inconvenience.
If you want one, and the expense doesn't bother you, go for it.
I would like to hear a sound test...
My guess would be float levels too high on center carb too
if not
maybe it's a cracked/split or leaking hose, vacuum leak
could be a carb base gasket too
I did some security work (alarm installation) at our "DSIR" facility about 20 years ago. That's the Govt run Forensics outfit here.
The guys were showing us how they can track stolen vehicles with fraudulent stampings - the metal retains the original numbers to quite some depth. We saw...
Well I had a mother of a time getting these carbs right. Drilled out the idle screws on the end carbs and finally got the mixture right. Then I had a slight vacuum leak, which turned out to be at the base plates. Problem now is that the car was laid up for a year and a half. I lost two close...
The plate is just a bearing retainer - somewhat keeps the steering shaft from being pulled out in a time of panic. the plastic turn switch is only retained by one screw - which I think screws into the turn lever.
Since I cannot work on the car or anything else for that matter, I decided to surf the internet any buy crap... LOL I just bought a new plasma cutter, I used to have one that I probably mentioned here but it took up too much room. This one is portable...
...a couple digits are slightly "clocked" differently than the others.
But hey, the VIN on the block pan rail and the transmission housing do match.

The VIN stampings on my '79 Chrysler 300 are no better. Different plant...maybe the same guy moved to Canada.
Nine years of practice...
