    440 pulley question- no ac

It is a fair guess that the only way to know for sure is to measure them from an original car. I was never a purist with this stuff. I have pieced together many cars just by using what fits regardless of whether it matched the original year model. The pulleys and brackets of the Mopar engines...

Has anyone upgraded their taillights to LED's?

They could be looped if they were loaded as a "Short", the bullshit vertical video platform that 90% of the public seems to have embraced. I'm a purist when it comes to videos...Vertical video just pisses me off.

There are other links that Ehrenberg wrote of. For cars with NO sway bar tabs on the lower control arms, he wrote an article about these:

I did. I meant to respond here earlier today about it. The year was 2022. I had the engine and trans out of the car and was going through the K member and suspension. I cleaned and blasted the K member. I rewelded a few areas. All suspension parts got sandblasted and coated. The end...

Will 63 start with instrument cluster removed?

I don't know the early models well but if there is an ammeter that is not connected, the wires to it need to be tied together to power up the ignition switch.

Post up facts and things that hardly anyone knows...... (for entertainment purposes only. NO need to fact check)

Before Los Angeles became known for its film industry, it was a significant center for oil production. In 1892, Edward L. Doheny discovered the first successful oil well near what is now Dodger Stadium. This discovery led to the Los Angeles Oil Field becoming the leading oil production area in...

    440 pulley question- no ac

I thought the crank pulleys were usually 7" to 7 1/4". The water pump pulley was a bit smaller, in the range of 5 7/8".

That is fine until you get stopped by a police officer more than once. Try explaining your location to the insurance claims agent in the event of a traffic accident.

Best oil for a roller cam engine

I thought that I read that excessive zinc can cause pitting on the bearings if the engine sits for awhile. True?

California Car exemptions by Jay Leno

One of the stupidest parts is that there are CARB compliant parts that are not any more efficient at reducing emissions yet the state requires them. Why? Because there is a huge surcharge for products with the “CARB Compliant” certification and guess who gets that difference? It is a government...

Ate a cam, time to switch to roller, I guess, but which one?

Your screen name cracks me up, man. To your point though…. I went back and forth on this subject. I hated to spend the money to switch to a roller cam when almost everyone that I know has not had a cam failure. There are far more flat tappet success stories than there are failures. It is the...

    Power Steering Pump Cooler

YES ! I am happy that vendors go to the trouble to make OEM type parts but four hundred bucks is stupid money. When someone else makes a part costing one tenth the $400, it really drives home how stupid it is to spend the big money unless you’re driving a correct restoration. Hey….I’m not...
