Which paint to use for Coronet gauge needles?

Was curious if anyone painted their gauge needles? Mine are faded badly and I'd like to dress them up a bit while it's apart. Any input is appreciated.

    Any plumbers in here?

Thanks, but I posted that it is fixed and the problem was, indeed, the mixing valve in the only single handed fawcett in the place. It's nice, hot showers, hot water for the washer, dishwasher works now. It's like heaven.

I know, I know, I'm a whistle blower. I agree, I cannot believe how nice it is to drive it around now. Much more comfortable.

Btw, I ordered 2 of the solid state voltage regulators last week, should be here today. Not positive I mentioned that previously and don't feel like reading back through. Lol.

Me being the curious type, I decided to pull this voltage regulator apart and see what it was made of and how it worked. For 35 bucks, somebody is making bank. I tested it again with the top off and the ground wire that is normally clamped between the case and another little piece of steel...

I ordered one of those, should be here tomorrow. This radio has a fader knob on the back of it, so I need to get it all hooked up and adjust it before I final install it.

After following the solder trails, I realized the bolts that hold the circuitboard to the gauge tray, are also the ground source. I decided to make a small harness and run it from a few of the retaining bolts to the dash frame.

It wasn't an issue really, but that thought had crossed my mind.

I got the radio out and moved the hvac controls out of the way. I looked at the speaker and it didn't look good, so out came the top of the glovebox. I removed the 4 nuts that retain the speaker to the dash and pulled it out. In another thread, my theory that the speaker was bad was argued...

The radio hasn't worked since I got it. I was pretty disappointed as it was redone by antique radio. It is AM/FM with either amp output or CD input in the back. Not sure on what the input or output jacks are for. I found the paperwork for it and it explained what each wire was for coming into...

Looking at the printed circuit board, I followed the different circuits around and figured out which were ground, which was for trun signals and warning lights and which were for the 2 gauges. I tested the gauge circuits and they had 7 ohms of resistance between the pin and the gauge stud. I...

I put a rag on the column to keep it from getting scratched or scratching the bezel. Once I got it out, I flipped it over and checked out the back side. I found a couple pins were slightly damaged, so I messed with those and got them better.

    Any plumbers in here?

Thanks guys! That was it. I had a friend who is experienced at doing this without damaging the tub insert, replace the antique faucet with a new one. Now we have scalding hot water on demand everywhere. Thanks for helping me out!

    NXCoupe's Shop Build

Neil came up with this sketchy but functional way to get the last sheet of drywall up in that corner. It worked and it's up there. I stood on the trans bench and screwed in the bottom 1/4 of the sheet. Now it's up to me to get onto spreading mud and tape and finishing. I found out from a friend...

    NXCoupe's Shop Build

I had to go out of town last week for work, so I didn't get anything done at all through the week. We hit it hard Sunday as Neil and Bill came over to help me out. I decided to follow my wife's advice and move the scaffolding over to the north wall so we could get the second level of drywall...

After getting the speedo cable unscrewed from the speedometer, and unplugging the round connector, once all the screws are removed, it can be tipped forward and the nuts holding the wires to the amp gauge removed. I also unplugged tge external ground wire someone else must have put in chasing...
