    I have 17x9.5 with 5.25 inch backspacing. I had 4.75 inch backspacing and had a slight tire rub, moved them inboard a half inch, now I have 1/2 inch clearance both at the leaf spring and quarter panel lip.

    Oh I forgot to mention that I had to buy the mounting plate that goes inside the door from a junkyard, they do not reproduce this piece. It should not be hard to find, but if you have trouble I know where there are several of them. DVAP.com

    I had the same thing with my 73, I did add the right side mirror. Before painting I layed out and drilled the holes. The mirror is located in the same position on the door as drivers side. Should not be a big deal even after painted, just make sure to prime the bare metal before installing...

    I got it fixed last night.........the brand new flasher I had bought was bad!! No need to ground the turn signal indicator wires. Thanks for all your help.

    yes that is the only thing I changed. If I ground the wires the flasher works really fast, if I toggle the ground they flash manually.

    I have eliminated the fender mounted turn signal indicators. Does anyone know how to get turn signals to work without the indicators?? They light up but will not flash.
