I sold this beauty in 2006. I bought it from my uncle in 1993. I have tried, and failed to buy back this car twice. The current owner is a super nice guy, and he has too much emotional attachment to the car. It traveled south to Kentucky, and it has been back in the upper midwest (90 minutes...
I actually have the correct sill plates already. I was curious as to what needed to be done (if anything) to the carpet below. The guys at Tony's parts told me that there is no factory hold down under the sill plate, and the carpet lays flush to the edge.
I don't. My carpet is currently butted right up to the edge. It looks clean, and one would never know that they were missing. I can take a pick this evening...
My current '65 Coronet does not have inner sill plates. The carpet runs all the way up to the edge. I assume this carpet has to be cut in order to install the inners. Anyone have a pic of what it looks like?

The output shaft seal was just replaced. Also, i drove the car two days ago- no leaks. It looks like it starts leaking after a period (two weeks or so) of sitting…

I have a Holley on my 383 currently, and I would like to use the correct air cleaner, but the drop base has a 4 /18" opening for a Carter. It originally did come with an AFB.
I have a dual snorkel air cleaner that measures 18" across. I have the carter drop base, but I am on the hunt for one with a 5 1/8" opening. Any suggestions? All I see are 14" bases.
