But the way it sits right now is the lowest of low value in that car's life If he can finish what he started he should
If he is just burnt out from working on it he should just pack it away and come back to it later when he has more gusto to work on it
I bought a 70 that was from an estate sale almost 10 years ago now
Totally apart sitting on jack stands with nothing bolted on but all the new metal welded on
Former owner died of cancer so no one to ask any questions
Been working on it for the last three years in my spare time and finally back...
Kind of an od description
Seller's description
1968 Dodge Charger, last registered in 1994.440 EngineCar comes with a trailer, will upload a picture of the trailer later this week. Will not respond to "Is this still available?" if the ad is up, the car is for sale.
Looks good in the pictures but...
If the shop you are considering that is out of state why do they need to find cars to work on so far away ??
If they are any good all the local guys would have them well booked up
You need to find a place close to home to be able to check in on your car on a regular basis
I have only sent one...
I think the 4 prongs have an odd ball spacing so the plug will only line up one way
When you pulled it apart you could have pulled the 2 posts out of the circuit board enough that they are no longer making good connections :(
I think the biggest problem is that he had the car soooo long and been working on it that when he had his original vision of what he wanted it to look like was a style at one time but as time went by the style idea has worn off Kind of like the Pro Street thing were every body tubbed the back...
Shaved the drip rail chrome
Shaved the door handles ( has door poppers now )
Set the front and back windows out so there is no stainless trim around the glass and it fits flush like a modern car
He put a 70 Charger front valence in under the front bumper so he could get rid of the original...
A friend has asked me to help sell his car
Has a new 440 that is running but not broke in yet
Just new rings and gaskets on low mile engine
I do not know if it was original to the car
Seller has owned the car for 24 years
He is a body man and did all the work himself
Was his dream car so did...
My 70 Charger used to do the same thing
If it had half a tank of gas and was parked on the slope part of my driveway the back end of the car was higher than the front (70 charger the filler pipe is at front of tank )
It would start leaking gas out the breather vent tube into the rear frame rail...
It is not just fast food :(
About a month ago we had a loaf of sliced bread from the grocery store that was half gone and sitting on the kitchen counter
Coming up on the 2 week mark when you think you should see some green colour start to appear but nothing happened
Would give it the sniff test...
Is the starter hitting the pipes or just the place where the wires hook to the starter ?
Most mini starters have an extension thing on the terminals that the wire hooks to that you can take off and hook the wires dirctly to the starter to make more space
I think you did get your answer but just did not like it
Everyone that gave you a number on it has done a car themselves and speak from experience
I paid less than $10k for my 70 Charger with all new amd metal already installed so very much like this car
Good luck finding a new home for it...
If I had to buy it the way it is sitting right now I would not offer any more than $10k for it
I am putting together a 70 Charger right now that was completly apart I got from an estate sale
Trying to figure out what parts and bolts and screws go where is not that easy when you did not take it...
