Someone mentioned a dash wiring harness? I have both the dash harness, engine harness and a rallye gauge cluster. If i remember correctly the fuel gauge died.
If you need the stuff, I am looking to move it.
I also have an almost complete 73 Roadrunner parts car, too many parts to list.
Good...
For what it's worth. Do a serious amount of research.
I spent weeks researching sound proofing from multiple sources. What I learned was to not cut corners and develop a methodical plan. Do it once and do it right kinda thing.
I personally chose Dynamat xtreme, for adhering to the metal panels...
I have a strong feeling crud made it past my filter and into the carb... What am I looking at to get the Carb cleaned and fixed up?
Is this something a a smart novice such as myself can tackle?
It is an edelbrock carb. (not sure of exact model)
It used to be BRAND SPANKIN NEW prior to this...
Thank you both, Ordering a new filler grommet!
My feeling is the tank was replaced by PO, and he did not replace the Sender. Simultaneously as the idling problems occured the gauge is reading unreliable measurements.
I am worried I may have sucked up gunk when I ran the tank completely dry...
1973 plymouth roadrunner, 400 cid, 727 auto, edelbrock 4 brl carb.
So I have a fuel tank that is full of crud. Upon filling up the tank and peering in the filler neck, I could see all kinds of crap floating around in the tank.
This explained why the car had been idling rough and giving me fuel...
Damn dude! Who knew bulbs and lighting could be this complex. Thank you for sharing your expertise. I have copied/pasted this into my knowledgebase wordpad document for future use!!!

If I were you. I would put together total replacement packages per member request, based on...
Dielectric grease definition...
Dielectric grease is a non-conductive, silicone-based grease that's designed to seal out moisture and prevent corrosion on electrical connectors. It also disrupts the flow of electrical current, which makes it good for lubricating and sealing the rubber parts of...
I have been following your thread pretty closely. Love the progress, thanks for posting. I am paying attention as I work on my 73 Roadrunner.
If you are in need of parts. I just purchased a second Roadrunner to take parts for my car. Whatever I don't use you are welcome to. Send me a message if...
As a 30 year old guy. Having not been around when these cars were at their peak.
I love these cars for the 40 year history, style and POWER.
It seems amazing to me that 40 years ago, these feats of engineering were accomplished WITH SUCH STYLE. I love honoring that history, in my eyes I hope to...
Thanks for the heads up! I will mention all these items to my buddy who is building the engine for me. What I was hoping to do was to be around when he builds it, so I could learn first hand.
But with all the snow in Boston and the hour long trip to his house it really isn't an option.
Winter...
Pictures are fun so I thought I would post the latest update.
A new 383 HP motor is being built. The block was bored .40 over.
What you see here has been honed and tanked.
New freeze plugs are in and primer will be applied.
The block is going to have the Cam and Timing chain I snagged off...
I gotta say, as a novice at this it is refreshing to see someone try something like this while people tell you "no it can't be done". Makes me want to dive right in and try things on my car I normally would hire someone for! Thanks for posting.
I own a 1973 Roadrunner. My existing K frame is chopped up.
Need a small or big block K frame.
I have seen mentioned that an E-body 73 frame, or a Chrysler Cordoba K frame will work.
Please help. Thanks guys.
Gene
Thanks, the hope is I can 1:1 swap pieces and keep this car relatively complete as it is.
I am taking all the side and rear glass for my car.
Swapping the complete doors to my car.
Also taking the hood. (my current hood has hood pins - don't like them)
The best part to my is the Dash gauge...
So I bought this Roadrunner off Craigslist as a parts donor car for my other 73 RR.
See pics and video here:

I know enough to be dangerous, looks like a 400 car...
