I sold one a few months ago that I thought was for all Bs. The guy calls me and says it won't fit his Charger. I have the old parts books and sure enough.... Charger is different. The box and the outlet grille.

If I remember right...Charger has a different 'box' than other B bodies.

It almost sounds as if wires in the gauge c-board plug have somehow gotten switched? And just for grins... have you tried swapping in a different, or old ivr? I know this one is new, but you never know.

Dave just reminded me.... It had a Line-Loc and a drive shaft 1/2 loop installed! And the torsion bars were cranked up at least 8 turns!

The original owner couldn't remember why. His memory is going. I could see that the radiator top tank was leaking. That COULD be why? In his garage was a box with power steering components, and another box with power brakes. It could be that he was going to add both but gave up.

Top is original and cleaned up very well. The back window is toasted though. Los Angeles in the summer (in a small garage for 50 years) will do that.

Yes, factory. Pasqual (the original owner) ordered it that way. Manual steering, manual brakes. When I asked the original owner "426, 4 speed and nothing else except power windows?" he told me "I didn't like reaching across to roll down the windows". Made perfect sense to me!

Thanks! 426 Wedge, 4sp. 50k original miles. Original paint, top and interior, just cleaned up. Original engine, trans, sure-grip. This has been a preservation instead of a restoration.

Check for power on terminal B2 on the back of the switch

First make sure that C body headlight switch has 5 terminals. If it has only 4 it won't work correctly. The knobs swap over. What is wrong with your original?

Both were just $500 all original used cars. One in 1979 and the other in 1987. Both had the CAP. Even my 1964 SP Fury 426 4sp had to be updated when the original owner migrated to the once-great state in the late 60s. The factory chrome air cleaner has a factory nipple.

Guys, correct me if I'm wrong here. The CAP cars, which both of my 1967 440 R/Ts were ( CA resident from 1962-2018) had a nipple on the air cleaner, and a vacuum retard valve (green?) for the distributor.
