...engine smoking for the last few months but it was only started once and a while on a weekend. I'm planning on pulling the heads this weekend or the next to get more of a look at the cylinder walls. Otherwise I may soon be investing in a 522 crate engine from CME. Again, I appreciate the...
Andrew, Welcome to FBBO. I'm sure a lot of our members would like a comparison of Blue Print's engines vs the competition. Such as, Carolina Machine Engines (CME), Hemi Swap Shop, MRL Performance, etc.
...you sure you want a .550 lift cam and an engine that has an operating range starting at almost 3000 RPM?
Have you looked at Carolina Machine (CME)?
Last column at left is short block price, next is long block, then complete (some with AL heads)

What are you suggesting here?? If your trying to snake a free engine from me its not happening. :) No, I would love to answer any questions that you might have about the parts we use, the warranty that our engines carry, or the fact that we dyno every engine here before they leave our facility...
Thanks for all the info guys, I guess CME, Muscle Motors and MRI look like the front runners, and Car Nut thanks for your comment if you nothing about Kiwis we don't scare easy but I'm not looking at racing my RT we leave the racing to Scott Dixon!!
I have the CME 522/525 ended up making 530 peak hp and 660 peak torque.
I have had some small issues along the way but nothing major and I have nothing but good things to say about Ritchie and my dealings with CME. Great group of guys and the proof is in the pudding they build a LOT of...
Hi Rob,
Before you go committing to any engines, can I get you to go for a ride in my mate's Challenger? I'm sure you'll like the feel of that power. Stroked 440 and 4-speed - real smooth and nice idle, but tons of torque and acceleration.
I'll call you a bit later today.
Mid-70's block, as I said. Numbers matter not.
For what I'm seeing on pricing from a couple sites (and nobody has said boo about CME yet, I notice - although a friend did find an old thread on here about them, in which all replies were actually favorable), it would be hard to rebuild one for the...
I might add I wrote and talked with over a dozen builders and for what I wanted and the costs CME was the clear choice plus they guaranteed their motors. Many said they would guarantee or "work with you" but were reluctant to put into writing.
