looking around for a crate motor, mainly a 400 stroked to a 451. Muscle motors seem to have some affordable crate motors that makes plenty of power. I live in Georgia if anyone knows of some other places that build engines.

What are you looking for Big block or small? How radical? Long or short block?

i had a real good experience with them many years ago, bought some rods from them, then when i changed my mind like over a year later on the build, they gladly exchanged my parts out for what i need on my new engine, no drama, great guys.

Nothing too radical. Definitely a big block to fit in my 68 roadrunner with around 550 to 600 hp and around the same amount of torque. Right now it's a old worn out 383 in it. I figure for the price I'd pay for parts and machine work I would probably come out better with a crate engine.

I know a guy in San Jose that has one of their motors in his 70 Cuda and he is very pleased. Member DennisH is buddies with him and can comment further.

I bought a set of ported heads from them in the mid 90s. Seem to remember they were good to deal with.

Here's the pic of my Dyno results for the 522. it was $6996 plus I bought their carb, ignition and Mopar performance valve covers which came to just under 8 grand. Lots of other options to go with and they'll work with you as well.

my 505 stroker is all muscle motors, very helpful, good priced, quality items, and is mopar only guy so thats a bonus

Looks like I might go with CME. I like the fact they have a warranty also. Did you have to buy the 6 pack package with your 522 Hyrdgoon?

I have been doing some research on a RB stroker and also called CME. I called Indy and wondered who pi$$ed in their Cheerios. Richie at CME sounded enthusiastic about the build and the price is right. I have other priorities on my list, but when the time comes, I believe that CME will get my money, and more importantly, my confidence.
