Yes, I went with a regulator from Holley that took 3/8 in/out ports and a 3/8" port for the return. The regulator also had a port for a gauge which you must have. Don't go cheap on the gauge, they won't last, or at best, lose their accuracy.
I bought one of these with the correct correct return nipple with the outlet size correct. This last summer the car did not peer for any differently, but it still boiled the fuel out of the carb and caused vapor lock. This was not as bad as I had before the install, but it still heat soaked...
I need new pads for a 67 Barracuda notchback. I see ones offered for a 69 and a lone brake pad for a 67 that looks like the pads offered in two places for a 69. Any idea why the 69 won't work on the 67? Need both pads and would like them wrapped in stainless trim.
In a ‘73 Duster, I have a 383 over .030 with 484 cam, Edelbrock Al Performance heads, dual quad efi, MSD , headers, 3.91 rear end, 727 trans. Question is, how will a purple .509 cam perform with this combo? The restorer told me to go with a .454 to get lower end performance. I really prefer...
Bill, an oscilloscope is one tool I do not have, nor have any access too. If I cannot locate the cause, then I may have to find someone that uses one and have them do the diagnostics. Thanks for the input.
I am running it direct. Did not need the adapter with the modifications done to the tach internals. I will check the cable route, that could be of concern. I will check the wiring and switch for 4,6,8 Thanks to all.
My tach in my '67 Satellite is hooked up to a MSD ignition system. I had the stock "bullet" tach on the console modified to operate off a digital set up. I has run perfectly for the past 3 years. While driving back from town, it started reading twice what it should be. Does anyone have a...
oldkimmer, your box is full, I would like to send you a private message related to the FiTech 30062. Can you send me a message when you have cleared it? Thank you.....Capt Jim
I have an original bullet tach in my on my '67 console that has been modified to accept input from my MSD. It has been reliable for the last 3 years and for some unknown reason, it started to read twice what it should. Any ideas of how to troubleshoot. According to the invoice I got back when...
To clarify, I know there were no '67 6bbl, that is not my question. Let me phrase this again. What I want to know is if there is a 6bbl set that is recommended for a '67 440. It seems that I see 3x2s for 69s, another that indicates it is for '70 and '71s, even one for a '68, but none I have...
Why is it that I cannot find any thread or article on a 6 pack set up for a '67 440 in a '67 GTX?
I cannot see why a Mopar stock 6 pack and manifold won't fit up to a '67, but all I ever see are 6 packs for '68 -'70 and '71. Am I just blind, or is there a problem to fit the 6 pack under the...
I would say yes, manifold would not increase the heat during idle as much as headers would. This is why I went to electric fans that will exhaust the heat from the headers and the engine compartment whether you are at idle or even for up to 5 minutes after you shut the car off. I believe this...
In my opinion, it depends. You have to pick a point in time to answer that question. If you are talking about while you are running, then the airflow will take away the heat from the steel headers, but once you stop, the steel headers will heat up the engine compartment much faster than the...
Sorry for the way the temps came out in the results. Had to screen print the results. Tried to type in the columns, but the post kept deleting the space between the two columns of numbers. You should be able to copy the screenprint and enlarge it. It will enlarge somewhat by just clicking on it.
Sorry it took so long to get back with results. I decided to rewire the entire circuitry under the dash. I installed a total of 4 Fuse boxes in order to isolate 12+ that 2 35 Amp relays required and one that needed an isolated 12+ for the controller along with another box for 12V ignition...
Go back to page 4 and you will see the specifics on the canister. Mine came from Yearone. The Moroso EFI adaptor can be bought at Summit and Classic Ind. EFI will solve the vapor lock. I have both an 850 DP on a 440 and a FAST efi on a 383. I keep swearing I'm going to go back to carbs on...
