I have been doing some research on a RB stroker and also called CME. I called Indy and wondered who pi$$ed in their Cheerios. Richie at CME sounded enthusiastic about the build and the price is right. I have other priorities on my list, but when the time comes, I believe that CME will get my...
The R-T-R is what CME sells as their recommendations with their Crate Motors so I have one on my 522. It's been a good piece have not had any issues there
CME actually offers the choice of forged or cast. Interestingly, not much price difference.
If I am to fetch another engine from anyone, I'm pretty sure I want them to dyno it and send me video, dyno sheet, etc.
I'm serious about this being the last time I'll be able to do this work - it...
...want the air gap, and doesnt want one with aluminum heads. So that pretty much takes every BP or ATK out of the equation lol.
I sent him to cme. I know they do some lower hp builds with LA cast heads.
Unfortunately my main stream engine suppliers dont have enough LA cores out there to keep...
The thing I liked most about CME is that one person is assigned to build the entire engine, no passing from one to another. The fellow that build my motor, Bill stated that he has built over 100 of these motors which clearly indicates he knows Mopars. That is alot of experience. CME is so...
...m going over to get the VIN. I wll also clean up the plate and figure out the "839" mystery. We are going back to Black it's white now....ugly. Thanks again
OK VIN is 5326166536 Fender Tag is 1220 0561 535 815 BB6. For sure. I am trying to figure out of this cme as big block car (361) or...
The 361 that is in your car will fit you needs. Why not rebuild?
If not rebuild a crate long block from someone lime CME, MRI (a For B Bodies supporter) or others would fill your wants and keep the car stock looking.
...rest of the country in the winter. It's the first time I've heard a Southerner that can't hand,e the winters. The summers I could understand. I cMe from Minnesota but now live in Southern CA. It's mostly 60s and 70s during the winter days. Some people whine about that here - I like winter the...
...understand this is the issue with rebuilding a 361 (might need custom pistons). The car is still in Nebraska waiting my return. I would be interested in any past experiences with CME and MRI? Finally, what is the longevity/reliability with a stroked engine (can this shorten the life of the...
Any updates on CME engines crate motor buys. I am new here and also looking
for a crate motor for my 1969 Charger SE. A 400 or 440 block is my choice. Looking to get at least 500HP or more. Any
suggestions would be great. So far I am looking at CME, Muscle Motors, Hughes, Mancini, or summit...
I have a 440 built by CME with a BW T-6 turbo pumping into it, after a year with boost it's still running strong and it was N/A since 2011 making near 575-600HP/800+ with FI. I wouldn't worry about their builds from a reliability standpoint.
...can incinerate tires just slappng the throttle and with the cut-outs open running threw the x pipe makes a real roar. Could not be happier with CME. My personal opinion is big hp na motors (500+hp) are not very driveable and really deliver only bragging rights, they really belong on the...
Magnaflux? Sonic Checked?
What are these specifically? and how would I go about googling a shop that can do this?
Also, I was looking at CME crate motors website, looks like you can ship your engine to them for a complete rebuild? Maybe this is an option...
I'm planning on using CME. A day trip for us to save shipping. Good prices. And nothing but positive comments about them.
Some day..............................................

In my workshop I have a cme 522 stroker engine with a crt built 727 waiting to go in the charger.Have already fitted a front disc upgrade, bigger torsion bars and a dana60...
What is the difference between a lock up converter and a non lock? And what are the pros and cons, for street/strip app? I was looking at a CME 522ci/550hp stroker that said "not recommended for a locking converter". Why? Sry for my ignorance, I always ran manual trans, need schooling on these...
I found a couple places that still have the 380hp Mopar performance crate engine but I'm also interested in cme 375hp version...
Any experience with either
