I recently found out I don't have the correct radiator for my Road Runner - the RR I have owned for 30 yrs. It's always been the 26", and I assumed it was the original, but someone came by and pointed out it's a 66 Rad. I did some research and found two possibilities. An 047 and 048. The 048...
Seems to me they were painted black and not left as cast. Or maybe if they were painted it was mainly from one side - meaning they didn't put a whole lot of time in painting. Cars in question are my 68 and 69 RR's.
Hey resto guru's! Were the fiberglass parts painted black from the factory and did they paint over the little rivets and the cable brackets as well? Any other detailing tips you can pass on would be appreciated. Thanks much.
I saw a friends 70 440 Challenger over the weekend and he has 2" Hooker headers with one tube on each side going around the frame side of the torsion bar. I would like to run these on my 69 Road Runner but have not been able to connect a part number to what I saw. They just look like they fit...
...Regarding a 69 Road Runner - specifically the steering column. Is the visible part of the shaft painted or bare metal, or either way depending on the day of the week or how loaded the assembly line worker was at the time?? Also the trunion joint (coupler) - bare metal or black??
