    Buddy was in a Dodge Daytona. Which was noted by the wind tunnel guys to be a faster shape than the Superbird, but only by a hair.

    I believe the reason they didn't build them was because nascar outlawed them, because they were so fast. The first time around a super-speedway (talladaga in sept of 69) Charley Glotsbach went 15mph faster then every other brand.

    Propane Bird?

    Anyone know if they made some Superbirds that had an auxiliary propane fuel system? A dealership near me had 1 in 1970., it had a tank in front of the spare tire. Did someone else put that on it other than the factory?
