I purchased a chinese distributor from RA went through it to lube and inspect then purchased one of these: Mopar HEI Conversion
It's been working fine for 6 years now. I went with a new distributor as it was cheaper than anything I could find used.

My battery is in the trunk, ground is through a nut welded to the roll bar floor plate which is also welded to the structure. I added a ground from the transmission extension housing to a 1/2" set screw that presses into the torsion bar cross member for circuit completion. 0 gauge cable.

The pan bolts look good. The pan bolt torque is low enough not to pull threads. The cap screws furnished were probably chosen to accommodate the length needed for the blind transmission holes.

The "dust" in the pan is very common-most likely from the torque converter. I believe there are some paper fragments on the old filter from the clutches. The filter is indeed for 62-65 Torqueflites. You should have the single hole model. The filter extension is puzzling, it has 3 holes? Weight...
How often should the bronze gear be inspected? I have read that the melanized gear should not be used on any used cam, only brand new. Any experience from racers? Thanks!

Final update: Well, once again it was my fault. I swapped the 2 leads I had crossed earlier but, I really didn't. DUH! Now the wipers function fine. Human error.
I was so dreading pulling the wiper motor that it was affecting my diagnoses.
Mike
Update: I crossed the pink (now red) with the F-1 red so, I was feeding the switch backwards. Fixed that, now: no high speed or park so I'll work on those issues, after lunch!
Mike
The wipers work with the switch in off position. At this point current is available at the red, blue, black, and pink wires at the switch connector. The yellow I believe is high speed. Turn switch on and they stop? Both units pass the FSM wiper motor and switch tests. All new wiring up to the...
I chose a 12,000 mini to just dehumidify the air. The shop rarely gets warmer than 72*. The conditioned space is about 35'x68'x10' or 23,800 cu ft. The North-South building is 144' long. The East-West building is 78' long now that I added a full width lean to on the East end (not shown). I...
When I leave the site I find a window open about a 65 426 Plymouth for sale. I did check it out last week but, I haven't since. Can you shed some light on this situation?
Thanks!
