I just picked up this alternator from Napa. It’s what comes up for 1969 plymouth 383. I’m not sure my motor is 69 though. It doesn’t look the same as the alternator I pulled off. I pulled two wires off my old alternator, I’m assuming this one would wire up the same.
So my regulator went bad and I’m replacing that. Decided to replace the voltage regulator also. I didn’t test it but figured it’s old so why not. Looked up the part number and found it at Summit. Description says “race only”. My motor is a stock 383 4 barrel intake with mopar electronic...
Pioneer cd/am/fm head unit in a 69 Satellite, 383 with mopar electronic ignition.
The radio/cd player sound goes out at around 2k-2.5k rpms. There is still power to the radio but no sound. It's not an antenna issue because it does it with CD player as well. It doesn't do it all the time...

I didn't know I had electronic ignition before I ordered the pertronix parts. I didn't pull the dist cap before I installed the pertronix coil to see if i had points...I assumed I had points. I'm guessing when I bypassed the ballast resistor like pertronix instructions say and I left the stock...
im went to install the Pertronix 1 and opened the dist cap and saw this. Is it a stock style electronic ignition? I also went to bypass the ballast for the pertronix cool. Is this fine putting all four wires together?
UPDATE---I made some errors. Now I need to figure out how to fix it.
