That's possible with a clutch type SG....
If the unit was built too tight, that can happen.
Axles grow with long term highway use....I always adjust my highway cars that have SG's to the upper end of the adjustment tolerance.
And if a clutch type SG is built 'aggressively'....what does that...
You need two different types of snap ring pliers.
For the clutch pack, servo, and tailshaft snap rings. The snap on pair jaws open parallel and work much better than the third photo.

But Asbestos causes cancer.... Excuse me? Last I checked once in place no one is handling a rear main seal.. Just wear latex gloves while installing it & remember not to eat the ends that get cut off during the install & you'll be fine...

Ok, I think we are in two different 727 eras, at least given my ride is a pushbutton. (I had a ’73 slapstick eons ago too). IMO, the 727 is iconic, rock hard, durable…legendary given the famous drag racers who preferred then in the early-mid 60’s. MOPAR dropped them after ’64, and one had a ’64...

1972 Dodge Charger. 318 w/ 4bbl avs2 and performer manifold. Engine rebuilt 12k miles ago with KB167 pistons and 302 heads, mild 340ish cam. It has been running perfect until now. Now it has a very rough idle that I have not been able to pin down. It is fine at highway speeds and over 20-25 MPH...
I like that. Reminded me of our previous pair, Coco and Neko. Mostly Coco though. They would make a mad dash outside to tell the world they ate and it was good. Zeke likes to go out, sometimes barks, but mostly just do a quick walk around before taking a nap. Toga flops down and starts...
I see on their website, they currently have a 25 gallon version and retail price looks to be about $5300. That was the largest I saw listed, they also had several smaller.
If the ECU connector was expanded female terminals, this will likely result in a poor, high-resistance connection.
And this can result in building up an oxidation level due to the higher heat. As the layer of oxidation builds
eventually there will be no connection for electricity to flow...
Here is a video of it. I guess I will re- do the adjustment on the passenger axle see if that helps at all. It's got two bottles of yukons friction modifier in it
