What's the best way to clean out the freeze plug water jackets on a big block?

I think with heavy scale, the chemicals don't do the complete job. It will look pretty on the outside though. You gotta get in there and look around every passage with a light. Some are in decent shape. But with50-60 year old block many you have to knock the scale out.

    Timing retarding

I did see another post on a similar problem to mine. Checking my timing, base set 18. When I increase the rpm , the timing will initially retard instead of advance. As I keep increasing rpm the timing will eventually shoot back it normal advance curve and continue to advance. The other...

    Mopars in France

In the sea of Peugeots and Renaults, it was nice to see a a familiar American car from the 60’s. No offense to those who love French vehicles, but I have a hard time with some of their styling cues. I really think the Pontiac Aztek could have sold well there as they really enjoy non...

Hacked up original a12 air cleaner???

That original lid is worth some $$ if not terribly pitted as the reproductions are lighter as they are thinner metal... The base is a good wall hanger.

    70 Rocker Moulding Clips Ford?

In the past Auveco was the company that made a variety of those clips, from .5" wide to 4" wide, some snap in the holes from around 1/4" to around 1/2" others have a stud that accepts a nut if you have access to the back of the panel... I've used a bunch of them, they may not look OE but once...

Early B Body turn signal switch discussion. Shee Mar SM102

OK I got REAL lucky and a guy in Canada accepted my offer for a OEM Mopar switch for 62-63 so I just had to change the terminals to the 64 style. Night and day difference in feel compared to the Shee-Mar switch and everything works perfectly. I will still want to order one of Dan's switches for...
