What has everyone used for a center support post in their hood scoops? I have an R0/WO style scoop on my 67' Belvedere. Its fine except on single lane highways when a semi blows by me the other way it sure make that scoop flutter more then I like.
To revive an old thread does anyone have pics of the 73-76 A-body reservoir in a 67 b-body? I'm looking for a new reservoir after changing to a 26" rad from a 22" so my old aluminum one wont fit.
Does anyone reproduce vent window handles? My drivers handle is worn down enough that it causes an annoying whistle, I can see where it has had a groove worn in it.
Not sure that any form of epoxy would hold up if I was to fill it in.
Blades half in. If I stay moving I can drive it all day no issue. When I hit stop and go it starts to creep 2 or 3 lights and it'll be at 210, once I get moving it will slowly come back down.
I have a 22" aluminum rad from Wizard cooling (which was it's own **** show). It's a 2 core with the bigger tubes. I've had the traffic heating issues (210 with stop and go) with 2 different 440's the current is built and dyno'd @ 520 hp I've tried multiple different clutch type mechanical...
I was hoping it might be a cheaper solution but kind of figured it wouldn't be the magic bullet for idling in traffic. Waiting to hear back from Glen-ray as well may be time for a 26" rad.
I didn't want to hijack another thread about overheating. I see that the smaller hemi water pump pullet has been mentioned a few times and I looked into it but they want an arm and a leg for the thing.
Has anyone tried CVF or March's "high flow" pulley? They keep the stock sized water pump...
Was hopeing for a cheaper alternative/answer as those are $230 bucks Canadian plus shipping, brokerage etc.
Does anyone have a stock valve cover they can measure the inside height from the mounting surface to the baffles?
Does anyone run stock valve covers on a 440 with Edelbrock heads and Hughes rockers?
I have some no name stamped valve covers that are slightly taller but they won't stop leaking. I think the shape is slightly off on them as all the gaskets I've tried never fit the corners very well.
Driveshaft Safety Loop, 1966-1970 Mopar B-Body-MDL1700
Has anyone tried these? I'm no fabricator/welder and these looked like a solid piece and specific or the B-body. I did a search but the one user who mentioned them prior has a full in box.
I painted my engine and valve covers with Mopar brand turquoise paint which seems to be no longer sold/made. I am going to replace the valve covers with something that hopefully won't leak and was wondering if anyone has found a powder coat brand/colour that matches the Mopar rattle can.
Born in 82 so depending on whos chart you look at I end up as a millennial. Dad was a mechanic and I followed his footsteps.
But as for current car culture it's alive but in different more affordable cars the tuner guys have their thing going like them or not I can still respect it. (There...
Thanks for all the reply's. I'll see what I can find either set screws or the ARP kit.
I had the blue rubber moroso ones under the aftermarket stamped steel covers and the drivers side always leaked a litle. I bought the felpro permadry ones and put them on this weekend. I drove out to a car...
Fighting leaking valve cover gaskets on my 440 with Edelbrock RPM heads. I have a solid flat tappet so need to remove them for periodic checks/adjustments and want to try a set of studs instead of bolts.
Does anyone know which ARP kit was the best fit for length etc? I have a set of stamped...
