Obviously the purists do have a problem if someone asks about getting a tag made they get their panties all knotted up and start crying. Probably one of the reasons people want to get tags made.
Ah yes the specter of the fake Hemi cars and how reproduction tags will hurt the value of the breed... blah blah blah.. all BS. Also this reoccurring theme of not being able to "accurately" reproduce a tag, more BS, again there are some very high end cars with reproduced tags out in the wild...
Clicking on these fender tag threads is like watching an impending train wreck with all of the "it will destroy the hobby" BS... What they are not telling you is that MANY of the very high dollar restored cars that have crossed the auction block with reproduced fender tags.
If you want a tag...
I believe they are 5/16-18 dog point with captured washer (aka 5/16 body bolts). You can usually find them in the help section
Amazon.com: (25) 5/16 18 x 1 3/16" Body Bolts 1/2" Hex 7/8" Washer : Industrial & Scientific
You can "probably" pull it as you have it but as mentioned you are going to have to get the engine pretty high to clear. I would recommend that you get the engine loose and free as the car sits now which gives you room under the car to crawl under and pry or push. I would use a floor jack under...
As I recall this has already been done, I remember seeing someone demonstrating this tech at one of the defense shows I attended when I was in that industry. In fact now that I think about it, it was installed on a Porsche 996 which was armored and had all sorts of defensive things (shot gas out...
I have a bit of experience with FLIR but from a military side, that said its capabilities are nothing short of amazing.
What would be cool is if the FLIR could project onto the windshield and overlay what you see there giving you the advantages of the FLIR while retaining your normal sight line.
Well I know how it can go, it seems like there is SO much to do, but I find that if I just do 1 thing on/for the build a day I feel better. Even if its organizing or cleaning.
As to the red and black lines, I would not recommend them, the pvc coating on them flakes off and they can be a pain...
Glad that I posted something that is interesting and/or helpful.
What do you mean you cannot find the red and black ones on Tanks? Do you mean the AN fittings? If so you can get them from many places to include Amazon (I would not recommend using those, I use Fragola mostly for AN). To be...
I have them in my 10 Challenger and don't have any complaints however in this case I am having to use an AT brake pedal cover which is larger than the manual pedal covers of either the originals or the modern cars. We will see how it works would once I am actually able to drive the car, it could...
I was able to get the rear window trim and sail panels in the car. I also added a 3rd brake light which I think will work out nice.
I also got some modern pedal covers, the gas pedal cover is from a modern Challenger but the brake and clutch covers are the brake covers from a Challenger...
I could be wrong of course but I have never seen that H looking thing on any PS pump. I have owned many SBMs (own several right now) and am absolutely sure I do not have one of those. I suspect that perhaps the lower pulley might have been swapped which changes the belt alignment or perhaps the...
1. check for vacuum leaks: use some carb cleaner and spray around the base and any/all ports, if the engine RPM raises you have a leak.
2. check the timing: make sure this is both set correctly and responds steadily. If the distributor is worn it can through off the timing and cause issues.
