Well hell, no wonder the tank was leaking if I didn’t even have the lock ring engaged completely. I don’t have a “tool” though? Do I have to use a specific tool or is there something else I can use?
A couple of things. I received the OEM lock ring I purchased off eBay. The aftermarket one that was on the car is actually thicker (aftermarket is the clean one). Isn’t the whole purpose of the OEM lock ring that it’s thicker? Also the last picture is of the lock ring before I took it off the...
So additional question. There’s not any more adjustment on the sending unit. It only reads half full when it’s completely full. Is this just a crappy unit?
I’ve also noticed that my sending unit cannot be adjusted any more and the way it is when I fill
My car up it only goes to 1/2 full. So I believe it’s a crappy reproduction.

I’ve read through forums and it looks like the torque spec for the crankshaft pulley bolts are between 15-25 (or snug with common sense). Seems like this should be something that is specified in the service manual but looking on page 9-103 it’s not shown. Am I missing something? I guess my...
So now I have the correct non ac water pump for the 69 and all of the correct pulleys, but now I am questioning my set up that is currently on the 68 ac car. I put a Flowkooler 1679 water pump on it last year in an attempt to to fix an overheating issue and it didn’t help much. I think I need to...
