What really sucks is that the sending unit works when I test it outside the tank, it will bring the gauge up to 3/4. It seems like its upside down when its installed, but it only goes in one way.:wtf:
I have a old friend from 3rd grade who is kind of the off grid guy, someone from 1930 or so, can't weigh 100lbs, so cheap he cuts firewood for heat and burns the wood at smoldering stage with just enough air to get the most out of the free wood he cuts in his woods. Not sure what his schedule...
Retard = larger ICL number.
108 ICL is the most advanced of all numbers you posted.
The R4 position, 110 ICL is 2 degrees retarded relative to 108 ICL.
I have read about those cad plated China ones giving trouble for folks after a couple of years. I sent my Bendix to Booster Dewey ( not the actual business name ) in Oregon ( now Washington State ) for a rebuild, super happy with the results.

Your sides haven't been changed to convert from a 22 to a 26 and ONLY the top has been changed sometime with a "factory" part?
And everything else about the car matches?
In that case I have a very similar situation. Sometime very early in it's life the top support was changed with a non...
Pratty,
You do not need a choke here. I can GIVE you any parts, advice on tuning. I built a 440 & we used an 850 TQ. In a 68 Charger. It made 600 hp on the dyno. Trip to Chy on the Murray, 4 people in the car & their luggage, got 19 mpg on one tankful & 18+ mpg on another tankful, mixed with...
GTX John.
Couple of thoughts on the 3447s.
[1]They have the small airhorn & flow about 575 cfm. The Edel 600 carbs have the same venturi & t/bore size, but with the larger 5" air horn flow about 600-625 cfm. If the engine can use the extra airflow, might be a benefit.
[2] If you remove the...
By way of update - I took her out for a run and she seemed to behave quite well during the start and warm-up phases. No coughing and good steady idle (once I got the fast idle setting right). I did notice, however, that once I got her all warmed up, when I did give her a kick in the guts, I...
