I have seen badly damaged top radiator supports from an engine removal gone wrong, and I bet that happened a few times with these old cars. If it was mine, I would either fix those welds and grind off the not correct numbers, or probably easier would be to buy a new piece from AMD and weld it...

Also.... If you are using the original air valve dashpot [ rt rear of carb ] forget it. The rubber goes hard & you get all sorts of strange problems. Get a new one & also a leather acc plunger. There is a place in Vic that sells them. I found them on Ebay, cannot remember the name. Set AV spring...

Mine reads the exact same thing. Original rebuilt gauge and a newer sender. I’ll be looking in to the Vans sender too haha.
