Can the torsion bar go in wrong?

Yeah, they were pretty rusty. I cleaned them up the best I could and painted them, but yes there are pretty rusty. I'm looking into replacing them now.

Swapping a Borgeson steering box in a 1970 Charger

The noise is belt squeal, zero doubt about it. Not the box or pump. The "hissing" is the box, but that's the least of my worries at the moment. As far as the tire iron trick, I'm well versed lol. I've been in industrial maintenance most of my career, much of it involving mechanical...

Can the torsion bar go in wrong?

I am embarrassed to say yes. I thought it would be easier to adjust the torsion bar with the car up on jack stands. I was searching around and realized what I did. :BangHead: Now I have to replace that adjuster block, its stripped, ain't no way I'm using it now. Do I really need that tool to...

WTB Looking for 67-68 poverty caps with Dodge emblem- two is what I need to make a set.

Those are the smaller diameter 1968 cap. The 1967 cap is similar, but had larger diameter. They are specific to the type of steel wheels being used. Large diameter goes on 1967 and earlier rim. Small diameter goes on 1968 and newer rim.

Can the torsion bar go in wrong?

By the looks of the rust pitting on the arm that bolt was in bad shape. Need to wire brush and lube these bolts before turing them. Wheels off the ground so no load of the car weight.

Goes under sun visor mount on outer edges of roof. The shoulder belt clips onto it for storage.

    66 Plymouth HP2

A few years ago, I was called on to verify a 1966 Belvedere II HP2 hardtop. The car was a November, 1965 build, and sported the HP2 fender signs. Although now painted bright red, the fender plate revealed the car was painted Mauve by the factory. I was surprised to find the Belvedere II side...

    Fried hei module??

I picked another hei unit up. This is my set up. Once it works I will tidy up my wiring. When I hooked it up and tested it there was really nice spark, but a spark jumped from the coil - to the aluminum plate. Then no spark. Aside from it not being neat and tidy, do I have something wrong?

Can the torsion bar go in wrong?

I finished putting together and was adjusting the ride height so I could torque the lower control arms and the strut rods. As I was turning the adjuster screw there was a big bang and my socket and rachet went flying. I pulled out the adjusting screw and the threads from the adjuster itself were...
