I appreciate your comments.....enlightening....
For my application, price is not a consideration. I going to purchase, in my estimation, the best and brightest of the systems currently offered including the current LED offerings.
I disagree with your premise re color temperature as my...
...read through the links to the literature provided, likely bypass the ammeter (I have a voltmeter hooked up now anyway), pick up a headlightrelaykit and try some of these things listed here to see how it reacts. I'm also considering adding a keyless power door/trunk lock system, so obviously...
No cutting required. They are direct replacement bulbs. The headlight bulbs are the only difference as the originals are sealed units. You need to buy a empty bulb (fixture) and it will have the slot in it to attach the LED (just like newer cars, you only need to replace the bulb and not...
What kind of car? There is a member on here that sells a kit for that, but they don't go behind the glove box. Not typically anyways.
Look here:

Quick question: what type of headlight plug does the high beam use? I know the low is the three prong h4 connector but i’m not sure what the high is. It’s a two prong but i don’t know what it’s called or what kind of led i should order for it.

The wire around is a great addition. I prefer a different method than what tends to get recommended, still a better approach than the factory.
Adding a wire around from alternator to starter relay helps take the charge load off the bulkhead. That's the primary reason the lights got brighter...
...Relay – 8-gauge wire with a 6 inch 12-gauge fusible link.
4) New Sense wire with inline fuse from Alternator to Starter Relay.
HeadlightRelayKit
1) Bought from a FABO member.
2) Relays and fuses can be mounted anywhere, under the battery, radiator support.
3) 2 power wires can be routed...
I laugh everytime I see "buy the kit", for the love of god relays are such an easy device to understand! Seeing the projects you guys tackle on here I'm amazed so many shy away from such a simple wiring job :poke:. That being said another quick, simple and fairly cheap upgrade is switching to...
Same headlights in both pictures. I have a couple more before and after pics. Relays flat out work better than the stock wiring regardless of the charging wire improvements that are made. This car also had my charge wire around set up on it. Dash lights are on the same setting.
Lights lose...

First, I apologize for the disagree. My phone took a tumble on the concrete and has a oh so slight hairline crack across the display glass. It distorts the rating icons. I will not rate any posts until I get a new screen, or phone (or rate on the PC).
Second, I want to comment that everyone is...
Convertible top relaykits are available. They work on the same basis as a headlightrelaykit, removing electrical load from the stock wiring, relay and switch. Those up/down switches for a vert top car aren't cheap!
NO CUTTING REQUIRED!
It's a pretty stealthy kit. I use a shrink tubed 12 ga...
I can't find a short anywhere. It has to be a connection and I swapped the headlight switch and dimmer switch so I have no clue. The relay pulls much less power.
i hear ya. i think this was a good compromise between super low cost ebay stuff and $400/light JW Speaker LEDs.
all this may not be applicable to your existing setup - my disclaimer :D
so i didnt end up using any schematics above. this Morimoto HID kit from TheRetrofitSource.com was a...
Headlightrelaykits that are essentially plug and play.
There is a substantial increase in voltage at the headlight, increasing light output performance. Light output degrades exponentially with voltage input reductions. These kits also take headlight amp loads off the fragile bulkhead...
Might want to look up Slant Six Dan. On ForAbodies only, or Google. He's a genius with wiring. Bought my relaykit from him. It included 3 relays for my 4 headlight setup. If anyone can answer your question, i think it would be him.
