...It's a non-lockup converter. I believe the car was factory rated at 195 horsepower.
Only recent pictures I have are below. It is a heavy car, but the rear axle ratio of 3.21:1 helps it "motivate". Handles great with the HD suspension.
I have it on dollies so I can move it around more easily.
...helped me unload the unit out of my trailer onto the new garage floor. He was "supposed" to help me put it together but he flaked. Having his morning bong bowl was more important. So out came the floor jacks, moving dollies and cribbing. I printed out the instructions and put it together on...
Thanks to a tip from our own RC,my friend ordered two sets of Auto Twirlers car dollies. Today they get some paint, and tomorrow they will have the casters installed.
My friend has his 70 Challenger T/A on a rotisserie with the suspension removed, both front and rear. His body guy says that the right front framerail is tweaked and the car needs to go on a frame machine. He wanted to get a set of body casters so they can roll the car onto the frame machine to...
...been working on the premise that good used American is way better than new Chinese for most of my tools. I avoid hammers with ‘reground’ faces and ‘new’ handles. Not the cheapest route, but pretty cost effective. I also picked up a set of new Fairmount dollies. Used proto hammers an option too.
Metal shears, a few different dollies and hammers, sheet metal attachment tools, such as Klecos.
Are you ordering new panels or are you fabricating?
Can of worms opened is correct. Hopefully you don't follow that mud vein up into the roof or cowl lol.
I recently had my car on those four wheel dollies for each tire that enable you to push it around. Long story short, the extra 4” or so of lift made it much nicer to get in and out of…
Is there any way to lift the overall height of the car about that much and still have it look normal? If it’s...
...but I managed to give the shop a much needed cleaning and reorganizing, it was an all day event; Now I have full access. With everything on dollies I can pull it out into the work area and have at it any time I want.
First move is to clean it up, assess where I left off, and get the ball...
My steering box was cleaned and repainted and put on the shelve 6 months ago. Now reasembing the car now. started it today. the car is on dollies on the front. so if I am not holding the steering wheel, the front wheels turn to the right. When the meet the stop and can't turn any more the rpm...
I make my own. However wooden furniture dollies will work just fine also. As mentioned, may have to widen the opening for aftermarket pans with kick outs or add a couple of 2x4's nailed/screwed to the dolly for extra deep pans.
40 deep is the key........ my 30x40 space fits 6 and a bench.......if everything is on dollies, and pushed to the sides, there is room to work
there are 5 full size cars in this picture lol
I made 3 sets of the wheel/tire stands with the left over lumber from the garage build. On one set, I put casters on them. There was plenty of leftover header and beam pieces from the garage build. All are on moving dollies. Love your build btw.
...tilted it like you show in your first post. Mine didn’t have the front or rear suspension or any doors or bolted panels and was on home made dollies. I was able to lift it by hand onto its side. I used a sawhorse on the opposite side to keep it from going over all the way. The roof rail...
