I learned years ago with a forklift - keep your load as low as possible, unless you're picking it or placing it. Glad you got out OK, and the belt worked!
Jeep drives fine...99% of the time. Hit the wrong bump, though (usually an angled train track, or an angled road patch)...and death wobble. BAD. I've done shocks, a front track bar, a steering stabilizer shock, and a balance...still happens. Less often...but still. And I can see the bushings are...
Getting ready to do the same for my Wrangler. All the bushings are shot (19 years and 115k miles...go figure). Going with Core 4x4 tubular adjustables - front and rear, upper and lower, as well as adjustable track bars. Same deal - made in the USA. Also, the cheap-o's have a crimp in the bend...
Don't be afraid of changes. My life is NOWHERE I'd have expected it to be right now...but I have a good life, a good job, a FUN job...and it's turning into offers all over the nation. I'm in a position now where my reputation is generating more work than I can handle...and my most recent inquiry...
Why the hell do you have D's on a trailer that lightweight?
Get tires rated for the GVWR of the trailer. You should be running C's, tops, on that rig - and 35-50psi. Too low, it'll pogo; too high, and it slams in the bumps...
Never.

Thanks - sitting at 285k miles now. Cummins/six speed stick/4x4.
I put a clutch in it at 250k.
I have rockers and cab corners that I need to get put on (I should have learned how to weld...), but other than that, no complaints. 20mpg like clockwork!
Installed Rostra cruise control on my 2006 Wrangler. Moderate pain in the ***, but only because I'm old, I'm 6'4", and I don't fit under dashboards anymore to do wiring. Brake pedal switch - UGH!!!
Only thing left is tomorrow, pull the radio to access the illumination lead for dash lights, so...
This was my thought as well, but a lawyer pointed out the difference between inheritance tax (what you pay when you sell inherited items), and capital gains tax (what you pay if you sell something that has your name on the title/deed). I encourage you to look up the numbers yourself, but for my...
The one in the middle is Cristy Lee. Definitely NOT selling showers...
She's a true gearhead and motorcycle racer. She also has a show on HGTV now where she does do renovations, but she's not doing those commercials. She's the real deal.
The other two are just annoying.
'52 Colt 4" Official Police
Still a damned fine gun, with nice tight tolerances, even after 73 years. But yeah, there is a gap between the cylinder and the barrel. Common sense says "keep stuff away from there".
And there is a "linkage" of sorts that connects the trigger to the cylinder...
Not around here. They wait till the pumps are full, and leave their f-ing car at a pump while they go inside to do their grocery shopping or whatever the hell they do.
While people like me sit there and wait for a pump to open up.
