Truer words never spoken. From anyone either the first time or from decades of experience. Don't feel bad Dan, I recently learned from a friend an all-too-similar situation. A gorgeous 69 Z-28, stunning show-quality gem. He got a dent on the upper rear quarter panel. Shop decided to take it down...
Well hell.. now I'm kinda stumped. Last night I removed the fuel pump but left the lines connected. Still heard the same ticking noise. I felt that the FP pushrod had moved down off the cam so I'm pretty sure it wasn't hitting anything, making the noise. So I'm thinking it might be lifter /...
Following up on my post #30, I did an unscientific measurement of how much fore and aft angle we had before the retractors locked up. Sitting on the bench, I used random parts I had lying around to increase the mounting angle.
Using 90° as plumb, the retractor tilted forward as much as 108.9°...
Neat post.
We switched to sheep. Neighbour across from us had cows, and the bulls. He moved miles away. I got the 41 Ford tractor.

'71 RR on Bottom/ Cuda on top...
Unfortunately, I have found that once you start digging into these old cars, you discover lots of things you didn't want to see.
When I bought my 70 Road Runner it was yellow - it had been changed from the original Limelight. Under the paint was a crease on the passenger side all the way from...
My knees are starting to ache. Started about 6 months ago. Bummer. We will likely sell the 34 foot sail boat in 2026. I am not as agile as before. Probably bursitis from my online looking. A winter rest should help. Other wise no health problems for this 79 year old. Will ride one of the bikes...
This one sold at the Fall Carlisle Auction earlier this month. The following week, it was in the car corral at Hershey with a price of $13,880. Don't know if its still available or not.
Another day here. Rain was predicted yesterday, but changed to no rain for today. I will pressure wash some dirty things today. My truck, the small boat, the small water tank, and a tarp. Blasted the Tukvan earlier. It gets the preferred spot under a roof.
Forgot to mention the coffee. We get...
I apologize for not responding to this, AG. Probably way too late now, but I had Dale Green do my stuff. My engine was one of the last ones he did before closing up shop. He technically wasn’t taking any more work when I approached him, but we know each other through racing, so he was willing...
