Weird non Mopars you like?

Didn't Hot Rod TV do a project on that Merc? It looks evil. Have you ever seen the Saleen Explorer? I have a '97 Explorer with the Cobra's 5.0 stashed away.

Speaking of the Marlin, are you familiar with the Chrysler Norseman? A concept car that was lost when two ships collided. It looked a lot like the Marlin.

The Explorer is a lot more rare then the Mustang is, but not as all around performance oriented. Fast though.
The S351R could do over 180MPH, it kept up with things like Ligenfelter Corvettes from the era. Saleen put his own design for suspension on it, but the rest Ford could have done out of the parts bin, but they never had the desire to lead in performance, or even come in second. Why the aftermarket got so huge for Mustangs. Part of why I walked away from that brand. When you are young, it is fun to take something and turn it into something else, but it is all simple bolt on stuff. Newer models don;t have the aftermarket support because it turned into it's own industry of sorts and now it all costs so much it isn't worth it.

Triumph TR8 coupe

Weird the Brits would offer an 8 cylinder.
Weird that a car manufacturer would have the right "recipe" and then totally bungle detail design execution, marketing, and sales.

I wonder what modern, performance drivetrain could be used in one.
interesting choice! Had a couple of TRs back in the day. The Rover (Buick) all aluminum V8 was a great motor. It was in production for 4 decades and eventually grew to a 5.0 making over 300hp in cars such as TVRs. IMO no need to look for a different drivetrain.

OK so here is my weird entry. Jensen CV8 MK111. Awesome grand tourer. Tube chassis. Fiberglass body. Disc brakes all round. Super luxury interior. 383 power!

No one has mentioned the Opel GT yet?

Not weird enough? I liked them when they came out, but I was in the minority where I grew up.

Id like to have a 68 Rambler Rebel

Edit: I don’t think this car falls in the weird category, neither does the 442 in the first post. But the Pacer darn sure is weird.
This one sold at the Fall Carlisle Auction earlier this month. The following week, it was in the car corral at Hershey with a price of $13,880. Don't know if its still available or not.
