I love to see the exposed mechanical parts of the vintage bikes on this forum. The guy that engineered the parts was very proud of what he made and wanted to show it off. The intricate details and the hand built parts are quite impressive to me anyway.

Yep. Anyone here ever buy the rebuild kit and rebuild one of these themselves? I saw a kit with the brushes and bearings on ebay for only $19.99. I know youd need a press to do the bearings. The local rebuilders are now charging about $130 to do one of these. Their quality control isnt so...

Hard to tell the detail, does it all match the small dash end pieces? Almost looks like it has a carbon fibre pattern. The 68, is the only year, that has the defroster in the cluster, as well as the square hole between the large gauges at the top.

I have resisted the advice to paint the car matte black. It seems like it has been overdone since all the cars from the Fast and Furious and Blade movies, but what if.... It is the opposite color scheme of the red car.... How about with black wheels? I think the black steel wheels do...
