The weird thing about is that chrome is very hard and always shines because ... of the nature of chrome. It does not need any specific polishing ever to let it shine. It does not oxidize too, like stainless or aluminium. So, I conclude that chrome polish is 70's the 'Oil of Olaz' for men, or...

I've used Hot Rod satin black on my grille and R/T door name plates with acid primer to etch the chrome.

Thanks for all the replies. Now this all takes a back seat, as upon my maiden test ride the pump HAS FAILED. Being a “in tank” pump, i now have to drain and drop the tank for removal…. Another fun project

This exactly my reasoning…. working on other issues needing key on and not have the pump cycle. The built in control on my MSD Atomic EFI works flawlessly, and they tell me i need no switch, but i don’t think they get what im trying to achieve.
