The Hidden Social Security Math Nobody Shows Retirees

Most financial advisor folks will show all the options. The life insurance folks will talk more about when you are going to die, when discussing the calculations. Some folks respond to maths, some to gut feelings, some to a dislike of insurance companies, and some to unknown forces. Women are...

    Sealing 6 pack hard lines

I was putting my T/A back together to complete its restoration, and when I went to start it for the first time, I couldn't get the lines to not leak like crazy. I contacted the engine builder, and he told me to put a little red grease on the threads of the fuel line fittings, then tighten them...

My new stock stroke 400 build

Fwiw, When utilizing vac advance, my preference is to set it up so the max it can reach is about 45*. This generally requires either a pretty slow mechanical curve and a fairly normal vac can(basically like a stock distributor with low initial timing), and/or a vac can with a pretty short...

Stop on in for a cup of coffee!

20 minute ferry to the big island. From there a two hour ferry to the mainland. I am at the bottom end of my Island. Silva Bay is 800 steps down the road. Most folks and services are at the top end. Real Islands do not have bridges.

I won them in the P-S-T Superbowl competition on here a few years back. No real change to ride comfort but improves the handling for sure.

At what point did NEW lifters become junk out of the box and were.......

I retrieved my old lifters that ran about 60,000 miles. 15 of them I could not compress by pushing down with a philips screw driver. One I could compress about 1/4 of an inch. I suspect I will find one or more of the new lifters have the same problem. The fuel pump is new, and was used before I...

FOR SALE 63-65 Dodge B body rear wheelhouses and rear transitional floor

I have a pair of rear wheelhouses and a rear transitional floor from a 65 Coronet. $150.00 each for the wheelhouses and $200.00 for the floor. I also have the trunk floor, but haven't removed it yet. Would prefer pick up in Northern Ca., because shipping would probably more than the parts. PM...

The Hidden Social Security Math Nobody Shows Retirees

I’m an outlier on this issue. But I have a family tree with scary longevity. My doctor and my lawyer told me to go long. I worked full time until 69, took SS at 70. Drew my investments down to make it happen. Result is a benefit of 50k per year. Even if I live to 100, and adjusted for...

Thanx - interesting Im sure, if I could read it! ;) I knew the car was somewhere in Scandinavia due to the mudflaps and the tag; my first guess was Sweden, but didnt see any extra reflectors like they mandate, so just kinda left it at that. Nice to know the background on photos.

help! My frame rails have scoliosis

I think you get it from your first photo where you are splitting it where the door jam joins the rocker (that's what I would do, just like the factory did it originally). You could certainly split the door jam however look how long that weld is going to be, not saying you can't do it, just I...

    Frontend ride height, limitations

That's a heavy bar over a stock figure. I think a Hemi bar was in the .890 range but not certain. Also places like Energy Suspension have a pancake bump stop that may be only 1/2'' compared to the factory bump stop.
