I would drive it a couple of months to enjoy but mainly to see where any deficiencies / gremlins are. The numbers matching makes it worth a restoration in my book and if the engine has had a quality rebuild you are way ahead.
I have a 69 Bee, numbers matching, 4 speed with factory air that I...
In the restoration of my 69 Super Bee, I am basically installing new everything except for backing plates and drums, which have been reconditioned and turned.
Like a lot of old cars, there were some incorrect parts here and there including brakes, and there were no adjusters in them.

ClassicCarWiring.Com Home of the original color laminated diagrams should have it. Laminated and in color. I got the larger size and has been well worth it, much easier to read.
I am a little ways away from installing, but I will definitely go to your thread when I do. FWIW, I have consulted your threads and posts many times. You have been a great help to me and I'm sure many others. Thank you.

Everything moves freely. I’m certain it isn’t too tight, a little concerned it isn’t torqued enough.
There was nothing broke unless from...
Pinion nut is replaced and tightened as far as it will go with Milwaukee impact. Not sure if it is 240 - 250 ft lbs tho, don’t have a torque wrench that goes that high.
Also replaced pion bearing and seal. Nothing is hitting now, wonder if it was the old bearing worn, tho it didn’t appear...

No idea why I haven’t observed this previously but is this normal? Doesn’t look normal to me but there were no obvious issues, all moves freely etc.
Ready to put back together until I saw this. I am no rear end expert...
yeah not planning on going back with it except in a very few places. When I scraped some of this off I discovered serious damage in a couple places. Frame rail had been filled with foam, and in places the metal was gone but the undercoating covered it. I really want a cleaner look.
I am scraping the undercoating off with a torch and scraper, and it peels off quite easily (finding some areas needing repair under it).
Once I get it all scraped off, what is the best way to clean the surface to eventually ready for paint. I am using steel brushes of every shape and size on...
